At the Baba Puran Singh Thind Medical Charitable Trust, we believe that a healthy workforce is a productive one. Our mission is to ensure that Ludhiana’s workers don’t have to choose between their daily wages and their dental health.

Through our outreach camps at factories and industrial clusters, we have identified three major oral health challenges facing our local workforce:
- Tobacco & Gutka Usage: In high-stress or physically demanding jobs, many workers turn to tobacco products. This leads to severe staining, gum disease, and a significantly higher risk of oral cancer.
- “Occupational Erosion”: Workers in certain chemical or metal industries are often exposed to environmental factors that can accelerate tooth wear and sensitivity.
- The Time Barrier: Most workers cannot afford to take a day off to visit a private dentist. By the time the pain becomes unbearable, the only option left is often an expensive extraction or complex surgery.
How Muskurahat Clinic Bridges the Gap
We are committed to making dental care accessible to every worker in Ludhiana through several key strategies:
- Tobacco Cessation Counseling: Our doctors don’t just treat the symptoms; they help workers understand the dangers of tobacco and provide practical advice on how to quit.
- Preventive Screenings at the Gates: We bring our mobile teams directly to factory gates and industrial colonies. These screenings identify problems like cavities and gum disease before they become emergencies.
- Sunday “Worker-Friendly” Camps: Our Free RCT Camps on Sundays are specifically designed for people who work six days a week. We provide high-quality treatment on their day of rest, ensuring they can return to work on Monday pain-free.
